Dr. Rajkumar, born as Singanalluru Puttaswamayya Muthuraju, was an iconic actor and singer of the Kannada film industry. He was born on April 24, 1929, in Gajanur, Mysore, British India, and passed away on April 12, 2006, in Bangalore, India.
Dr. Rajkumar acted in more than 200 Kannada films and was known for his versatile acting skills and melodious singing voice. He made his acting debut in 1954 with the film “Bedara Kannappa” and went on to become one of the most popular and respected actors of his time. He was also a trained classical singer and lent his voice to several popular Kannada film songs.
