A total of 1.17 lakh aspirants to appear for the KSET examination
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET), a prerequisite for the assistant professor position, is scheduled for January 13. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has completed all arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination.
On January 9, S. Ramya, Executive Director of KEA, revealed that a total of 1,17,302 candidates have applied to take part in the examination, which offers a choice among 41 subjects.
Among the 41 subjects, commerce has the highest number of candidates with 16,000 applicants. Kannada follows with 11,000 candidates, while linguistics has the lowest enrollment with only 25 candidates.
Of all the exam participants, 6% of those achieving the highest marks will qualify.
Examination centers are designated in Bengaluru Urban, Dharwad, Haveri, Ballari, Davangere, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Mandya, and Dakshina Kannada districts.
Candidates are advised to report to their respective centers two hours before the scheduled start time.
