Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced his government’s aspiration to position Karnataka as a global innovation leader in AVGC-XR technologies, aiming to generate 30,000 high-quality jobs in the state by 2028. The media and entertainment industry in Karnataka already accounts for 20% of the Indian sector, employing over 15,000 professionals and boasting more than 300 specialized AVGC-XR studios.
Siddaramaiah emphasized the state’s commitment to fostering growth through the draft AVGC-XR policy, structured around strategic pillars focusing on skill development, infrastructure, startups, global market access, incentives, and ‘Mobile First’ AVGC products. The Chief Minister highlighted the unique facilities, including Digital Art Centers, AVGC-XR finishing schools, and the state-of-the-art Center of Excellence in Bengaluru, positioning Karnataka as a hub for innovation and talent development in the AVGC-XR sector.
