Online RTI Information System

This portal provides a platform to file RTI applications and first appeals online with a payment gateway. The fee payment can be made through internet banking. Only Indian citizens can use this portal to file RTI applications and first appeal for the departments and public authorities of the Karnataka government.


The Centre for e-Governance of DPAR, e-Governance Department is responsible for managing the RTI Online application portal, while the respective departments are accountable for disposing of RTI applications received via the portal.

Please note that any issues pertaining to the RTI Online portal should be addressed to the RTI Online PMU of CeG, as per point 1. Complaints regarding RTI applications and delays in their disposal must be submitted solely to the departmental nodal officers of respective departments, whose list is available on the RTI Online portal.

It’s essential to know that the RTI online application/appeal can only be filed for public authorities listed in the public authority menu of the RTI online portal. If the desired public authority is not listed, it’s advised to file a physical RTI application in hard copy.

Lastly, please refrain from uploading any personal data, including UID/Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport.
