Instead of biannual events, mass marriages are now scheduled twice a month to prevent overcrowding. New auspicious dates include 15th & 20th January 2021 and 20th & 23rd February 2021. This adjustment was made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing safety measures.
The Saptapadi Vivah Yojana was initially launched on 10th January 2020, and under this initiative, the state government supports newlyweds with a financial aid of Rs. 55,000. To avail this assistance, couples need to register for the Karnataka Saptapadi Vivah Yojana 2024 at designated temples.
