Why Dandeli Is Special

Dandeli’s charm lies in its diversity. In a single day, you can raft through roaring rapids, spot exotic birds, trek through thick jungles, and end the evening watching a golden sunset by the river. The town is surrounded by the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in Karnataka, known for rich biodiversity and pristine landscapes.

Bird enthusiasts can spot rare species like the Malabar pied hornbill, great Indian hornbill, and crested serpent eagle. This makes Dandeli one of the best birding destinations in South India.
